1842 Charles Williams born in England

1874 Arrives in Australia aboard the Ramsay. Around 30 members of the Williams family of Gloucestershire in England arrived in Queensland as immigrants. They settled in Brisbane, Ipswich and the Brisbane Valley.

1874 Robert Williams selected two blocks of land totalling 2442 acres from the Colinton lease as a grazing property.

1874 Charles with his wife Emma joined Robert.

1874 Charles, who was a stonemason, began work on a five-roomed stone house at the selection, which Robert had named Stonehouse after the village in Gloucestershire where he had lived. The new building was close to a two-room slab house that the family presumably lived in during construction.

Because the house was built of stone, the name later became corrupted to "Stone House" or "Stone Houses"

1882, Emma Williams died (wife of Charles Williams) shortly after giving birth to a boy and was buried near Wallaby creek. This grave was washed away by a flood surge in the 1940s.

Charles Williams never remarried.

1887 Charles died as the result of an accident near "Taromeo" where he had been carrying out stonework.

1907 Charles brother Robert died and was buried near Moore.

2002 25th October Stonehouse was listed on the Queensland Heritage Register having satisfied the following criteria.
